MY STORY

Growing up studying classical ballet, I have always been moved and passionate about visual and performing arts. I remember falling asleep listening to the music of my dance pieces I needed to memorize, envisioning myself performing the choreography, but with an elaborate and fantastical landscape and costuming. I continued on to receive a BFA from UC Irvine (and Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance) in Dance Performance. I worked professionally throughout Los Angeles and Southern California as a performer, choreographer, Co-Artistic Director, and educator in the concert dance circuit.

Film always tugged on my heartstrings as a 90s baby, having grown up playing with a VHS and various digital camcorders to make scripted Barbie movies with my siblings, and eclectic music videos with my friends. My dad bought me a mirrorless Sony photo /video hybrid camera for my 8th grade graduation which served as the impetus for countless selfies, vacation memories, short films, birthday compilation video cards, and hilarious music videos my friends and I would create.

Although I had consistently shown interest and initiative in creating dance films for friends and storyboarding ideas for videos; it wasn’t until 2019 when I unexpectedly landed an assistant video editing role for a dance fitness company named Body Groove, where I eventually transitioned into a video producer and production assistant on-set.

This opportunity snowballed my fascination of combining my love for movement and performing arts, fashion, music, and film all together. I have had the honor of working with companies, artists, and clients beyond what I’ve ever dreamed, including Vogue, JID, Kia, Paris Fashion Week, Marvel, NASDAQ, award-winning short and feature films, and so much more.

My passion for movement, fashion, and visual arts is inspired and augmented within the medium of film, where I continue to study, practice, and dream of ways to hone my craft of DP’ing, Directing, and Producing.

I reside in New York City where stimuli, creativity, and opportunity are never ending. I look forward to pursuing my experience in documentary, commercial, and narrative cinematography where story-telling is at the forefront of my work.

In my free time, I enjoy taking dance classes, sewing , painting, shooting 35mm analog photos, going on picnics, and playing with my adorable orange kitten from the New York Cat Distribution System.
